Congressman Smith also serves on the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee. He is second in seniority on the Committee and sits on both the Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics (Vice Chair) and the Subcommittee on Technology and Innovation.
Committee on Homeland Security
Congressman Smith was selected by Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert to be a member of the Committee on Homeland Security during the 108th Congress. The Committee has primary jurisdiction over the Department of Homeland Security.
