Congressman Lamar Smith, R-San Antonio, today issued the following statement on the formation of the Coalition of Entertainment Retail Trade Associations:
CERTA brings the retail communitys voice to the fight against piracy. Illegal downloads of CDs and DVDs harm businesses on Hollywood Boulevard and retailers on Main Streets across America. I look forward to working with CERTA as we continue to establish a legitimate and legal marketplace for online music.
